This charcuterie wreath is an easy appetizer that comes together in less than 30 minutes. This festive recipe requires no cooking and makes an impressive appetizer.
Charcuterie boards are super popular! This charcuterie wreath is an easy, festive take on the boards.
Reasons why you’ll love this recipe
- It’s easy! The wreath looks impressive, but it’s easier to put together than a traditional charcuterie board.
- Plenty of flavors! The ingredients in the wreath have a variety of textures and flavors. There are salty olives, spicy pepperoncini peppers, and balls of creamy cheese.
- No cooking necessary! The wreath can be assembled in less than 30 minutes – no cooking necessary.
Ingredients and substitutions
- Grape tomatoes – Cherry tomatoes make a good substitute if you can’t find grape tomatoes.
- Small mozzarella balls – Small mozzarella balls can be found in either the cheese or the deli section of most grocery stores. If you can’t find them, you can cut pieces of fresh mozzarella to fit.
- Pepperoncini peppers – If you’d like a milder alternative, try banana peppers instead.
- Marinated artichokes
- Black olives – Regular black olives work well. I don’t recommend kalamata olives as their flavor can overwhelm the other ingredients.
- Castelvetrano olives – These are green olives. Feel free to use another type of green olive if you prefer.
- Salami and prosciutto – Feel free to use any type of cured meat that you would like. Some other ideas are pepperoni, coppa, soppressata, and pancetta. When adding the meats to the skewer, you can fold it a few times (like you would a piece of paper) to make it smaller, stay on the skewer better and will give it more visual interest.
- Basil and rosemary – The herbs add a bit of brightness and freshness to the wreath.
How to make a charcuterie wreath
Step 1: Gather all of the ingredients to make the wreath.

Step 3: Place one layer of skewers in a circular shape on your serving plate or board.
Step 4: Repeat with skewers and ingredients to create another layer.
Step 5: Continue to create layers until you run out of ingredients.
