large egg whites

granulated sugar

vegetable oil

vanilla extract

Dutch processed cocoa powder

baking soda

M&M candies

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 F. Line a jelly roll pan

with a piece of parchment paper or a nonstick baking mat.
In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the egg whites.
Add the sugars, oil, and vanilla, whisking until smooth and well-combined.
Whisk in the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda just until incorporated.
Spread the batter in the prepared pan. You’ll want it to be spread as thin as possible for crispier brittle.
Sprinkle M&M's and chocolate chips, if using, over the batter.
Bake for 18-20 minutes. Slightly underbaking will give you chewier brittle and baking the full time will give you crispier bark.
Let the bark cool in the pan until it reaches room temperature.
When the bark is at room temperature, break it into pieces.
Store at room temperature in an airtight container.
Notes
For chewier bark, use a smaller pan (i.e a 9x13-inch baking sheet)
