Ingredients

ground Italian sausage

diced onion

dry white wine

can diced tomatoes

heavy cream

potato gnocchi

Italian seasoning
Salt
Pepper

cup
grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
Add the Italian sausage to a large skillet.
Cook over medium-high heat, stirring to break up the sausage as it cooks.
Add the onion and sauté until softened, about 3 minutes.
Stir in garlic, and cook for 30 seconds.
Add the white wine and Italian seasoning. Cook, stirring the entire time, for 1-2 minutes.
Add the diced tomatoes with juice, cream, and gnocchi.
Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook for about 5-6 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Continue to cook until the gnocchi is cooked and the sauce has thickened slightly.
Serve topped with grated parmesan cheese.
Notes
Italian sausage:
Mild or hot will work. If you can't find ground Italian sausage, you can use Italian sausage links with the casings removed.
Diced tomatoes:
You can also use diced tomatoes with garlic and onion or Italian diced tomatoes.
Heavy cream:
Heavy cream is sometimes called whipping cream or heavy whipping cream.
