Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. Set aside.
In a large skillet, brown the sausage over medium heat, breaking it into small pieces as it cooks.
16 ounces breakfast sausage
Sprinkle flour over the cooked sausage and stir to coat. Cook for 1 minute.
¼ cup all-purpose flour
Gradually add milk and heavy cream, stirring constantly to prevent lumps.
2 ¼ cups whole milk,
1 cup heavy cream
Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
½ teaspoon salt,
¼ teaspoon black pepper,
½ teaspoon garlic powder,
½ teaspoon onion powder
Simmer the gravy for 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until thickened.
Pour the sausage gravy into the prepared baking dish.
Separate the biscuits and arrange them in a single layer on top of the gravy.
16.3 ounce can refrigerated biscuits
Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and gravy is bubbly.
Let stand for 5-10 minutes before serving.
