Instructions
Place ingredients except sausage and liquid smoke into a crock pot.
1 ham bone or ham hock, 1 green bell pepper, 1 medium yellow or white onion, 4 celery stalks, 3 garlic cloves, 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning, 1 pound dried small red beans, 6 cups chicken broth
Cook on high for 6-8 hours, or until beans are tender.
In the last 30 minutes, stir in sausage and liquid smoke.
