medium baking apples
peeled, cored, and cut into 16 wedges each

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 F.
In a large bowl, toss together apple wedges and sugar.
Add lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice. Toss to combine.
Pour apples into a 9x13-inch baking dish. Set aside.
To make the topping, whisk together oats, flour, and sugars.
Stir in butter until just combined.
Press together to make crumbles, and sprinkle over apples.
Place baking dish on a rimmed baking sheet.
Bake for about 45-55 minutes, or until apples are soft and topping is lightly browned.

Notes
Apples:
Baking apples, like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp, work best.
Granulated sugar
: Feel free to use more or less sugar to taste.
Brown sugar
: Light brown sugar or dark brown sugar will work.
Butter
: I use salted butter. If you're using unsalted butter, add 1/4 teaspoon salt along with the butter.
