If the pizza dough is refrigerated, let it come to room temperature, about 1 ½-2 hours.
Once the pizza dough is at room temperature, preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat or spray with nonstick cooking spray.
Place the pizza dough on a silicone baking mat or sheet of parchment paper or on a lightly floured surface.
Roll the pizza dough into a 15x10-inch rectangle.
Place the pepperonis on the pizza dough in a single layer.
Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the pepperonis.
Roll the dough up from the long side.
Pinch the seam and place seam-side down diagonally on prepared baking sheet.
Bake until golden brown and baked through, about 25-30 minutes.
Add the melted butter, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and garlic salt to a small bowl.
Stir until combined.
Brush the garlic butter onto the baked pizza bread, and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
Let the bread cool for about 5 minutes.
Slice into 2-inch pieces and serve with pizza sauce for dipping.
Notes
Pizza dough: You can use either homemade pizza dough or store-bought pizza dough. Whole wheat pizza dough will also work in this recipe.
Cheese: I like to use whole milk mozzarella because it melts so well, but part-skim mozzarella will also work.
Garlic salt: Feel free to substitute the garlic salt with an equal amount of garlic powder if you'd like.
