Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350F. Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Add the milk and vanilla extract; whisk in until combined.

In a medium bowl, add ¼ cup butter, 1 cup granulated sugar, and zest together.

Add the flour mixture, and mix until combined.
Pour the batter into a baking pan.
Sprinkle the blackberries over the batter.
4 cups fresh blackberries
Sprinkle the ¾ cup sugar over the blackberries.
Dot the butter over the blackberries.
1/4 cup salted butter
Pour the boiling water over the top. Do not stir.
1 cup boiling water
Bake for about 40-50 minutes, or until golden brown.
Serve warm.
