Add the ingredients in the order given by your bread machine’s instructions. This will usually be wet ingredients, then dry ingredients with the yeast in a small central well in the flour.
6 tablespoons warm water, ¾ cup buttermilk, ¼ cup honey, 2 tablespoons oil, 1 large egg, 3 cups all-purpose flour, ½ cup old-fashioned oats, 1 teaspoon salt, 2 ¼ teaspoons bread machine yeast
Press the basic cycle and adjust the crust color to the lightest setting. If you don’t have a basic setting, you can use the white bread setting. This recipe will make a 1.5 pound loaf.
Once the bread has finished baking, let it cool before cutting and serving.
