Baked roast beef sliders are hot roast beef sandwiches topped with a sweet and savory sauce. This easy dinner recipe can be made in just 30 minutes!

Baked roast beef sliders are a seriously simple dinner recipe. These easy sliders take just a few ingredients and a few minutes to prep.
And in just 30 minutes you can have hot roast beef sliders slathered in a sweet and savory butter sauce! The sliders make a quick weeknight dinner, and they’re great for any time that you want an easy but tasty meal.
Ingredient notes and substitutions
- Hawaiian rolls: I like to use Hawaiian rolls because their light sweetness goes well with the savory roast and cheese. However, you could also use slider buns or dinner rolls.
- Roast beef: I use deli sliced roast beef. If you have leftover sliced roast beef, you could use that instead.
- Cheddar cheese: I like to use sharp cheddar because it has more flavor. Mild cheddar or medium cheddar would also work. Or feel free to use another type of cheese that melts well, like Havarti or Swiss.
- Butter: I use salted butter. Unsalted butter would also work, but I recommend adding a pinch or two of salt for better flavor.
- Dijon mustard: The Dijon mustard gives the sauce a nice bite. Yellow mustard or brown mustard are milder alternatives.
- Brown sugar: Feel free to adjust the amount of sugar to your liking. The sugar just gives the topping a nice bit of sweetness and balance.
- Everything bagel seasoning: The seasoning adds a bit of salty, savory flavor. You could use poppy seeds, sesame seeds, or whatever seasoning you prefer.
How to make baked roast beef sliders
Here you’ll find instructions and step-by-step photos showing how to make this recipe. The full recipe, including ingredients, is given below.
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 F. Lightly grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish or rimmed baking sheet or line with parchment paper.

Step 2: Cut the rolls in half horizontally.
Step 3: Place the bottom half of the rolls in the prepared baking dish.
Step 4: Add the roast beef in a layer over the bottom buns, and then layer the sliced cheddar cheese over the roast beef.

Step 5: Place the tops of the buns over the top.
Step 6: In a small bowl, stir together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, bagel seasoning, and Worcestershire sauce until well-combined.

Step 7: Brush the tops of the rolls with the butter mixture.
Step 8: Cover with aluminum foil.
Step 9: Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the sliders are heated through and the cheese has melted.
Step 10: Remove the foil and continue baking for about 5 minutes. Serve warm.
Recipe Tips!
- Foil: I cover the sliders with foil and then remove at the end. This helps to keep the rolls soft while the sandwiches warm through. If you want crispier buns, you can skip the foil.
- Doubling: You can easily double the recipe. I use a 13×18-inch sheet pan or two 9×13-inch pans for the double batch. There are no adjustments to baking time with a double batch.
- Serving suggestions: I recommend serving the sliders with your favorite sandwich sides. I like to serve them with fresh veggies, like carrots, celery, broccoli, and cauliflower, and fresh fruit on the side.

Storage
Store any leftover sliders in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They will keep for up to 4 days when properly stored in the fridge.
