Greek Turkey Burgers are a quick, flavorful alternative to traditional burgers. Ready in under 30 minutes and served with an easy, homemade tzatziki, they’re perfect for quick summer dinners.

These Greek turkey burgers are an easy way to switch up your usual burger routine with something a little more flavorful. The patties come together quickly and take less than 30 minutes, making them a great option for busy nights.
Paired with a simple homemade tzatziki, these turkey burgers are a great choice for quick weeknight dinners when you want something easy but still full of flavor.

Ingredient notes and substitutions
- Turkey: Feel free to use ground chicken in place of the turkey. I use lean ground turkey that’s 93% lean.
- Garlic: You can thrown in an additional clove if you like more garlic flavor.
- Oregano: Feel free to substitute fresh herbs, like dill, in place of the oregano.
- Greek yogurt: I use plain nonfat, but you could use 2% or whole milk Greek yogurt.
- Buns: Pita also works in place of hamburger buns.
How to make Greek turkey burgers
Here you’ll find instructions and step-by-step photos showing how to make this recipe. The full recipe, including ingredients, is given below.
Step 1: To make the turkey burgers, preheat a grill (for outdoor grilling), grill pan, or nonstick skillet (or use a little olive oil to grease your large skillet).

Step 2: Add the ground turkey, bread crumbs, Feta, olives, parsley, lemon juice, oregano, garlic, egg and salt and pepper to a large bowl.
Step 3: Mix until the ingredients are all incorporated. I use my hands. I think it’s easier and does a better job of mixing everything together.
Step 4: Divide the burger mix into four equal portions, and shape each portion into a patty, making a slight indention in the middle. I like to use a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to set the patties on.

Step 5: Lightly spray grill or pan with a nonstick cooking spray. Cook the burgers until they reach your desired level of doneness. The USDA recommends an internal temperature of 165 F. When using a grill pan, it took about 10-15 minutes to cook them through.
Step 6: While the burgers are cooking, prepare the tzatziki. In a medium bowl, stir together cucumber, yogurt, lemon juice, parsley, salt, and garlic.
Step 7: Once the burgers are done, place each one on bun, and top the burger with sliced cucumber, tomato, red onion, lettuce (butter lettuce is great on these), or any other desired toppings.
Step 8: Drizzle some tzatziki over the veggies, and then sprinkle with a little extra parsley.

Recipe Tips!
- Don’t overmix the meat: Mix just until combined to keep the burgers tender.
- Use ground turkey with some fat: Extra lean turkey can dry out, so a slightly higher fat content helps keep the burgers juicy.
- Chill briefly if needed: If the mixture feels too soft, cover with plastic wrap and chill briefly. A short chill helps the patties hold their shape.
- Make the tzatziki ahead: Letting it sit for a bit improves the flavor.
- Serving suggestions: The turkey burgers are great served with sweet potato fries or regular fries, quinoa salad, or cucumber tomato salad.

Storage
Store any leftover turkey burgers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They will keep for up to 4 days when properly stored in the fridge.
