This fun Easter snack is the Easter version of my Christmas white chocolate party mix. It has plenty of festive color from the pastel M&Ms and Easter sprinkles, and this quick recipe can be made in less than15 minutes and requiring no baking.
This recipe is perfect for whipping up with kids or as a last-minute treat!
Ingredient notes and substitutions
- Chex: Or a similar cereal like Crispix.
- Cheerios: Feel free to use any flavor of Cheerios that you like instead of using plain Cheerios.
- Pretzels: I like to use pretzel twists, but mini pretzel rods would also work.
- Almond bark: I like to use vanilla almond bark because it melts well. Good-quality white chocolate chips can also be used.
- M&Ms: I like to use plain, not peanut M&Ms. You can use any flavor of M&Ms that you like.
How to make bunny bait
Here you’ll find step-by-step photos showing how to make this recipe. The full recipe, including instructions, is given below.
Step 1: In a large bowl, stir together the Chex, Cap’n Crunch, Cheerios, and pretzels.
Step 2: In a separate microwave-safe bowl, melt the almond bark according to the package directions.
Step 3: Drizzle the melted almond bark over the cereal mixture.
Step 4: Toss to coat.
Step 5: Spread the cereal mix onto the prepared large rimmed baking sheet.
Step 6: Sprinkle the M&Ms and sprinkles, if using, over the top.
Step 7: Let cool to room temperature before serving.
Recipe Tips!
- Work quickly! The vanilla almond bark sets quickly, so you need to sprinkle the M&Ms and sprinkles over the top quickly so that they can set in the almond bark.
- Add-ins: Feel free to add in different types of cereal, Saltine minis, nuts, or dried fruit.
Storage
Store any leftover bunny bait in an airtight container at room temperature. It will keep for up to 4 days when properly stored.
