Oreo Chocolate Chunk Cheesecake Cookies

For a while now, I’ve had an Oreo cheesecake cupcake recipe on my list of things to make. When I went to actually start working on them, though, I decided that I was more in the mood for cookies than cake. So, I came up with these Oreo Chocolate Chunk Cheesecake Cookies instead!

They are soft, moist, and are a great mix of traditional chocolate chip cookies and cream cheese cookies. The cookies are stuffed with Oreo cookies and melt-y chocolate chunks. They also have a little bit of tang from the cream cheese, which is a really nice balance to the sweetness of the chocolate and cookies. The cookies are delicious and are perfect for those times when you want to try a yummy spin on the classic chocolate chip cookie.

Oreo Chocolate Chunk Cheesecake Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 c . butter , melted
  • 8 oz . cream cheese , softened
  • 1 c . brown sugar
  • 1/3 c . granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 T . vanilla extract
  • 3 c . all-purpose flour
  • 2 T . cornstarch
  • 1 ½ tsp . baking soda
  • 1 tsp . kosher salt
  • 1/2 c . semisweet chocolate disks or chunks
  • 2 c . chopped Oreos

Instructions

  1. Line two cookie sheets with silicone baking mats or parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, beat together the butter, cream cheese, and sugars until fluffy and well-combined.
  3. Beat in egg, scraping down the sides as needed.
  4. Stir in vanilla extract until incorporated.
  5. In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Stir in flour mixture until just incorporated.
  7. Gently fold in chocolate disks and Oreos until just combined.
  8. Cover, and refrigerate dough at least 3 hours (up to 24 hours). The cookies will hold their shape better if you refrigerate the dough for 8-24 hours.
  9. Toward the end of the chilling time, preheat oven to 350 F.
  10. Drop scoops of dough onto prepared cookie sheets using a medium cookie scoop (1 ½ tablespoons). If you want a flatter cookie, gently flatten dough before baking.
  11. Bake for 8-9 minutes. You want the edges to be just barely golden brown.
  12. Remove from oven, and let cool for 5-10 minutes on the cookie sheet.
  13. Transfer to wire rack to finish cooling.

    You should have a recipe box for tjose who can’t print the recipes out right away so they can save them in the recipe box for future reference when they want to mait the recipe.

      Hi! I actually used to have a recipe box, but the company that provided that has discontinued that service. If I find another one that works well, I’ll definitely add one.

      I have a board on Pinterest where I just pin recipes that I plan to try that week (or month). Maybe that would work until then? =)
