Ingredient notes and substitutions

- Graham crackers: Graham cracker dippers work well.
How to make s’mores dip
Here you’ll find step-by-step photos showing how to make this recipe. The full recipe, including instructions, is given below.
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 F.
Step 2: Spread the chocolate chips in an even layer in the bottom of a 9-inch cast iron skillet. They need to be in an even layer so that they melt evenly.
Step 3: Bake for 3-4 minutes, or until the chocolate chips are beginning to melt.
Step 4: Place the halved marshmallows in an even layer over the chocolate pieces.
Step 5: Bake for 2-4 minutes, or until the marshmallows are golden brown. Keep an eye on the marshmallows starting at 2 minutes as they can quickly get overcooked.
Step 6: Remove from oven and let the dip sit for about 5 minutes so the chocolate can continue to melt.
Step 7: Serve with graham crackers for dipping.
Recipe Tips!
- Dippers: Fresh fruit, like strawberries or apples, or cookies, like Oreos, could also be used as dippers. You could also use pretzels for a sweet and salty treat.
- Peanut butter s’mores dip: Add spoonfuls of peanut butter on top of the warm chocolate chips before adding the marshmallows.
Storage
The dip is best eaten while warm. Store any leftover s’mores dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It will keep for 1-2 days when properly stored in the fridge.
Rewarm the dip before enjoying.
